Unfortunately the majority of internet is populated by zealots that blindly defend their preference (see C#, Java, AJAX, Blogs(?) and useless s**t like flickr, delicious, etc)Some days I wish the internet WAS tiered so I wouldn't be even allowed to look at s**tty, poorly designed blogs on news (yes, NEWS, not blogs, you pompeous f**ks) sites like digg, slashdot, etc.I wasn't even aware that making s**tty template designs was a trend. I should definetly join in and see what an unoriginal whore I can be when it comes to making something as trivial as pixel fonts over a gradient background, fully intergrated CSS, huge ass fonts, and of course, tons of useless s**t that no one really cares about. But then again when I think of blogs thats all I see, so maybe I don't need to.
Ryosen > nope, sorry, you're taking it a little too seriously. I wrote the article as a tongue-in-cheek way of saying "see ya" to our readers since I'm off on holiday for a week now (a much deserved one, thank you - overworked and overstressed front-end architect web-type person here). We have different tastes in design (and humour), that much is obvious, but apart from that I think you and I probably have quite comparable professional lives. The web2.0 buzzlingo is a joke and everyone in the industry knows it - I'm just comfortable with poking fun at it and you don't seem to be there yet.Cheers,Jon(yongfook.com)
There you go again......"I'm just comfortable with poking fun at it and you don't seem to be there yet." you arrogant f**k. Dont even.Im in the industry too.....so are a lot of people. we are all entitled to our own opinion. I cant believe you have the gaul to to say "bah i guess you just arent as cool as me yet"f**ker
