nytimes.com — For pro-woman voters, especially democrats, the math is clear. No woman in the whitehouse yet for 16 years with Obama/Biden. Yet if they vote for Palin -- then that shatters the glass ceiling -- with immediate benefits following. And with a democratic congress and court, there's no threat to Roe v. Wade. A Palin vote raises their possible pay now.

Let me clarify, for a woman (or pro-woman voter) it's better to vote for Palin than wait 16 more years. With Palin as VP and later President, then women will be able to command higher wages starting now. And even if they wanted the democrats to run a woman later, there's no guarantee. By voting for Sarah Palin this election, it forces the democrats to run a woman next election. It really sends the message that women need the democratic party to get. So if you're pro-woman either vote Palin this time or sit out the election. It's better, in terms of real near term rewards, and a clearer message to vote Sarah Palin this time, rather than gamble for 4, 8, 12, or 16 years -- or more -- later.

And the main issue is not pay, it's promotion and all the benefits that come with that. The democratic spin is that Sarah Palin isn't qualified -- but she is and she can learn. That's the same attitude that keeps women from being promoted now everywhere. Is there a risk that she could have to run the nation before she's ready? Sure. But that's the same worry that keeps women everywhere from being made supervisors, managers, directors, vice presidents, presidents, CEO, and chairpersons. No matter what your politics -- if you're a pro-woman voter -- it's in your best interest and that of women everywhere to vote for Sarah Palin now, this election. Why wait for promises?

How is there any threat to Roe v. Wade ?. The courts going to re-interpret an interpretation made on assuming rights not written AGAIN, I don't understand ! Curtailing abortion rights, I can see that, relative to allowing mass slaughter based on the mood and or money of the day. This is truly an in your face Pro-Woman and Anti-corruption outsider chance for real change !Her being a woman is just an extra benefit !

That's the point. The main objection to Palin is likely that she's not pro-choice, but there's no threat for at least 2 reasons: a/ Palin follows the constitution like she did with the same sex marriage ban veto in Alaska and b/ Roe v. Wade would have to be turned over through congressional action in a democratically controlled congress.
