@Psych77 Do you have any idea how a computer works? If they don't use Excel, they use some kind of database program to store all their information and perform calculations on it.

Ha ha. This has nothing to do with how a computer works (which I do understand) - it is to do with how businesses work. No, they do not generally use Excel to store and calculate all of their information. Small companies may use Excel (although more and more use Sage) for their accounts, but once you get into this size of company they generally start using more bespoke software, perhaps based on a standard product, e.g. Oracle. And as this affected Excel only, saying "they use some kind of database" doesn't apply.
