mentalfloss.com — Isobella Jade, is getting national attention these days as the model who wrote a memoir without the use of computer. (Let me clarify: without the use of her own computer.) It may very well be the start of a new breed: books written in public spaces on public computers.

She really needs to stick to modeling. Certainly not writing about s**t only other people who are 5'4" and yappy like the small dog care about, and certainly not public speaking

Actually she's not paid by Apple, Apple has a long history of using smart publicity to it's advantage. Apple knows when to kick people out.. and when people are browsing myspace. Apple also encourages creativity. I remember some guys bring in their DV camera to use Final Cut Pro, and the Apple employees took the time to let them edit the footage for their indy film and helped them burn it to DVD. Management has made it clear that it's okay to encourage people who are dreamers.

I dispute the beautiful part. Shes OK but, I think she might think about other work then modeling. It isn't her height thats the problem though it doesn't help.If she grew up using an Apple II is she like in her late 30's ?

I bet he did a creepy hair-sniff when she turned to put the CD in the drive.

I don't care much for this book, but I do think this is the beginning of a trend towards not actually owning a computer but still being an avid computer user. With everything moving onto the web, it makes sense to use public or private terminals where available.
