Not to keep harping on this, but I'm in the creative field too. Breaking "the rules" just for the sake of breaking the rules is lame. It's like building a house with no roof. There might be some cool theory as to why you had to do it that way, but if its not functional, try again..

The last two are my favourite designs but I would agree that not all of these are "business cards" - some are just unique and clever promotional / marketing tools.However, inspirational none the less!

Even getting something as simple as Moo Business cards are something that help you stand out. I picked up some when I signed up for Flickr and they look really sharp.

Print your business cards on letter sized paper and then cut them by trimming .25 inch from the edge of each side of the printout and then cut the cards to 3.5 in x 2 in. You'll get 12 business cards to a page. Awesome.
