mwd500,I'm sure there are other ways it can look, but this looks almost exactly the way my friends laptop looked after getting busted. Her laptop was only cracked and colorized like that on the right most 1/3 of the screen though.
I'm kinda impressed you can screw the lcd so badly (like, that must have been droped HARD), and yet the laptop still boots. And 1024x768 rules! (on a 12" ibook...)
HAHAHAHAHA, another guy put this on our bosses BRAND NEW alienware laptop that he's been bragging about for the past week. He came back from his break and started cussing up a storm, and got all red in the face!! Were still waiting for him to figure it out!! Awesome I digg!!!
Just to clarify, the site doesn't suggest a prank. It's merely the story of how their notebook crashed to the ground.The pictures are actual photographs of the burst screen, so whoever said that's not what a burst LCD screen looks like, you obviously don't know what you're talking about.

I just put it fullscreen on my PowerBook, and it hurts straight into my heart. I will never do it again. Ya it is. i broke my iPod screen a month ago and it looked just the same...which reminds me, borrow a friends iPod and copy the image to it, haha.
