Changing passwords is easy, but I'm not sure if that's what you wanted:Mac OS X: boot off the install cd. There's a way to do it from there, i believe. Linux: boot off live cd; mount / from hard drive to a mount point, for example /mnt/hdroot; run #chroot /mnt/hdroot /bin/passwd ; reboot and login with your new password.I think that's how to do it from linux anyway, it's been a while. I think I did that on a solaris 8 machine ~2 years ago too....

The problem with LCP is that it doesn't show crack time. Being that we ran LC5 on the same machine all the time against the same DC, we used that metric quite often. Not many of the free tools so that on an individual hash crack basis.

If you lost your windows log on password, you can try these methods:
Method 1: Log on as admin to reset the password. When installing Windows, it automatically creates an account “Administrator” and the default password is blank. If you have previously created a password reset disk, you can use it to reset the password also.

Forgot or lost windows password? Have been locked out of computer? Do not want to reinstall the computer because there is vital data on your computer? Oh, well, it is not that scary as it seems and is really with solutions indeed. Then how to get out of the situation without reformatting and re-installing the operating system?
Here I will also give you the tips that how to protect your computer from being hacked easily.
Method 1: Bypass Windows xp password on safe mode.
When Windows xp was installed, a built-in account named administrator was created at the same time. The Administrator account has a blank password until you create a new password for it. So we can easily bypass the windows password by this leak. Now we try to login Windows with administrator account.
Step 1.When power on computer, press F8 repeatedly until the Windows Advanced Options Menu screen appears.
Step 2.Select Safe Mode to boot windows to safe mode.
Step 3.Click Administrator account to login. OK! You have bypass Windows xp password.
Tip: We can also use this method to bypass the login password in normal mode – Boot Windows to welcome screen, double press CTRL+ALT+DEL to bring out the classic login screen, and then input: administrator and blank password.
If the administrator account has been set a password, we cannot use the method to bypass the windows xp password. We should use Method 3.
Method 2: Bypass Windows 7/Vista password by activating the inactive administrator account.
Windows 7/Vista also has an Administrator account with blank password until it was set a new password to. But the Administrator is inactive when it was created. So we can activate the administrator account to bypass Windows 7/Vista password. Now we use Spower Windows password Reset Tool to activate the administrator account.
Step 1: Download Spower Windows Password Reset Professional from link: http://www.windowspasswordsreset.com, and install it to a computer. Spower Windows Password Reset Professional can be installed in Windows 2000 or later version Windows.
Step 2: Create a Windows password reset USB or CD/DVD disk.
Step 3: Set computer to boot from CD/DVD-ROM or USB drive.
Step 4: Boot computer from Windows password reset disk. Insert the Windows password reset disk to the computer and then restart computer.
Step 5: Active the administrator account.
Step 6: Inactivate Administrator account.
If do not use the administrator any more, you can inactivate it by net user command. Open command prompt, and then type: net user administrator /active: no.
Method 3: Bypass Windows 7/Vista/xp password by creating a new account.
This method tells you how to create a new account, login with new account, and delete the account if do not need it any more. So you can bypass the Windows password making no harm to the original user and password.
Follow the steps below to bypass password windows 7/Vista/xp password:
Step 1: Download Spower Windows Password Reset Special from link: http://www.windowspasswordsreset.com, and install it to a computer. Spower Windows Password Reset Special can be installed in Windows 2000 or later version Windows.
Step 2: Create a Windows password reset USB or CD/DVD disk.
Step 3: Set the computer to boot from CD/DVD-ROM or USB disk.
Step 4: Boot computer from Windows password reset disk.
After setting the locked computer to boot from CD/DVD-ROM or USB drive, insert Windows password reset disk to computer, and restart the computer.
Step 5: Create a new account and delete the unused account.
