mediapost.com— In a sense, the damage has already been done, and the data has already been collected on a massive, worldwide scale. Can't hit "undo" on this one.

Google is running their International business as if it were a US company. Some of the broad sweeping privileges they have here domestically just aren't afforded abroad. What I love about this one is Schmidt admits it was a mistake. There seem to be a lot of mistakes over there and a lot of Google employees on Twitter talking about their diets and books they are reading. . . . .
I agree completely. The fact is that NO one is NOT entitled to any expectation or privacy when they (electronically or otherwise) no less than SHOUT their business out to the world. That is what a wireless router does, it SHOUTS. I am sorry that I can give no dispensation for ignorance, reading the manual and setting up basic wireless security is really easy and can be done in less than 10 min. with most (linksys, netgear) wireless routers, the "setup wizard" recommends it and even creates the setup disk/usb-key/file for setting up your PC's.
