I know it's stupid to feel this way, but no "new" Star Trek series will ever be as awesome as TNG. Voyager, DSN, Enterprise. They were all pretty good, but none were on quite the same level as TNG. I don't know why.

@ draxenatoAgree with you, but as the majority of people on Digg seem to come from the US of A you do realise that you'll be dugg down to oblivion, even although your comment is not anti-American in itself, merely a reflection of the fact that "America saves the world again" type movies (eg Independence Day) don't necessarily go down well outside the USA.

I would like to see a time travelling episode featuring T'pol and 7 of 9, Vulcan meets Borg they fall in love in the first 10 minutes and spend the rest of the episode f**king each other senseless.

I dunno. I'll definitely see the movie, but Abrams still seems to be clinging to what I see as the 'goofy' bits of Star Trek (the old uniforms, the bridge that looks like an iPod) and it's rumored that he wants to integrate it with ST:TNG.I was kind of hoping for an actual reboot that seems more like a Star Trek that grew out of our own society, not one that tries to hang on to parallel Earths run by Nazis or Romans and has the crew tripping over time travel or holodeck disasters every two episodes.

I meant humans, but in a non-federation starship. A non-government starship I guess :)
