time.com — To fear a new Korean war is historically inaccurate, because, in fact, the last one never ended: The world's most dangerous border, across which some 2 million North Korean, U.S. and South Korean troops face each other along the 38th Parallel of the Korean Peninsula is, in fact, simply an armistice line. On July 27, 1953, the U.S. and North Korea

Unless you are as brainless as a post 1970's public education system has allowed you to be, you would understand that the Korean war was nothing but a way for China to test the resolve of the world in the Far east after WW2. Take a bit of time and learn who the Americans were fighting during 90% of that war. Take a few moments to see where the industry was that created the arms for the North to fight with and where the fighter planes came from.Korea, North Korea does not even blink unless China tells it it can. This is a test to see what the O'man will do. Put up or talk a great line and back down. North Korea is dangerous because of the amount of military stretched over the world saving every hell hole of a country from itself. The question is does the USA have the ability to put 500,000 troops into South Korea, three thousand tanks and two battle groups off the shores and is the USA able to supple the needed food, oil and shells that a small, real land war would eat up. Would you be willing to face having the government place the USA on a war footing, with the demands to the people and forced enlistment of civilians to fill out the needs of the military and would a Democratic government that is negative on military be willing to take that step? That is what this little war is about. It is about who is the new man in the White House and does he and his bunch of leaders have any backbone!

How much is the Korean War Mistake costing us this year? How much in total so far in current dollars? Has it reached $10 trillion? We the US public almost got screwed as bad with Vietnam but finally shut down the Military and MIC on that one. I bet they are still really pissed over that one. We must stop these internal enemies.

Who ever provokes it, North korea is going to get its ass handed to them on a platter. China and Russia aren't going to give much support because, there isn't much in it for them and to China, North Korea is just a leech, sucking up their resources of humanitarian aid. With them being locked away in their own little world, urban and military warfare has changed leaps and bounds, and I doubt, that they had kept up with the times military wise. If they have a nuke and actually use it on the US or who ever, I highly doubt that whoever they fire upon will surrender like japan did in WW2. Different time different place.I think that going to war with North Korea would be a more justifiable military action, in comparison to Iraq.

Next time read something more than the headline, eh? It's right there in the opening sentence:"To fear a new Korean war is historically inaccurate, because, in fact, the last one never ended:"

Despite China's intervention in the Korean War and it's continued position as their only trade partner, North Korea never looked to China for guidance. Kim Il Sung was a former Soviet Red Army officer and a devout Stalinist. He always took his marching orders from Moscow. Since the reorganization of the Soviet Union, North Korea has become a true rogue state trusting neither China or Russia to say nothing of the rest of the world. And now it is a headless rogue state with Kim Jong Il incapacitated and dying and his heir too young and not yet deified like his father and grandfather. The question is not only what nation would North Korea negotiate with but who in North Korea even has the power to negotiate.

From what I know and understand I am most definitely sure that the fighting will resume. As already has been stated before me the War actually never ended. Only a cease fire was signed. I know most of you know what a cease fire is but i will still explain:-"A ceasefire (or truce) is a temporary stoppage of a war or any armed conflict, where each side of the conflict agrees with the other to suspend aggressive actions."Anyways now that you have that in mind.North Korea has been breaking the Cease Fire and officially declared they withdrew from it. Today the UN issued a new policy of inspecting all North Korean Vessels/Planes suspected of transporting nuclear weapon supplies or arms to or from North Korea. Also They have put sanctions on North Korea to try to force them to resume peace talks.South Korea has always been ready for this war. North Korea recently most likely seems to be wanting a war. If it comes to that then the Korean War Will Resume. However The war would most likely be very bloody. Hopefully no Nuclear Weapons are used but I have a feeling that they will be used if war is declard. Anyways I think the North Koreans would rush the DMZ Zone with everything they had while shelling Seol. South Korea and the United States would respond with air strikes on the located artillery. Then they would bomb the capital of North korea. The ground war would follow. It could end up being another wwii. (WWIII) Just my input

Except that our government doesn't declare war anymore, just sends troops there to occupy.
