This is called Cognitive Closure. Meaning You have an opinion. You accept anything the matches the opinion -- no matter how nutty. It is unhealthy for a democracy. Lack of rational thought is never a good thing.Surely you can come up with a better argument to not support Bush.

My concern wasnt with the word "correlation". It was the phrase "direct link" which a correlation is most certainly not.

I'd say the correlation is between living in Southern Connecticut and being mentally ill. Join the socialist community and drop in for chemical warfare!! If you're not mentally ill when you start, you will be tortured in your assigned cubicle until you truly are disabled!
