A lot of you are saying the video starts off with the girl assaulting the police officer? Watch the video again,.. it clearly shows the officer trying to arrest the girl, and she's just resisting. It isn't until the second girl jumped on the officer that the thing really escalated. She's being arrested for jaywalking. That's f**king ridiculous in the first place; hell, if I had to deal with that s**t all my life (being bullied by cops because of my race), of course I would resist too for being arrested for jaywalking.
Judging by the diggs most people here have been to Seattle. For those who haven't, it's like the foundation of Greenpeace and the home of Apple computing. Try to start a gangfight with cops in Seattle... It's against code. This "celebrity" will last as long as a rabid fox in Atlanta.
@ grazzit. Just because everyone has gotten used to police behaving as though their ego is the law doesn't mean it's true, there is nothing wrong with filming them in action. That's why he didn't go after anyone with the cameras, he wasn't doing anything wrong and they weren't threatening him. Do you think that officer didn't do his job correctly and left himself in unnecessary danger by not trying to taze the crowd? Obviously not because nothing happened to him. This cop followed his training correctly the way cops should and didn't let his own possible fear control his response more than his training. Just because most here would consider being surrounded by a bunch of upset black people a life threatening situation doesn't mean it is. The video is proof. They didn't jump him and drag his body through the streets, they verbally protested without getting physical at all. Maybe this will help curb your fears that anytime there's a group of dark people around you must be in fear for your life. And it's not like these people all came around from out of the blue or hopped out of their cars and approached the situation, they're on a busy street, I'm sure those were the people that were already there when the situation started. Are they supposed to start running away because the police are at work? If they're bearing witness to what someone might think is an injustice, how else are they going to record it? Camera phones aren't known for their good zooming abilities from across the street. Diggers here are just showing their own insecurities and fears because obviously, it wasn't a dangerous crowd because nothing happened to the cop, they didn't assault him or start flashing gang signs and bussin caps like you'd probably assume. He didn't have to pull a weapon or threaten the crowd at all, they kept their distance. The one guy that got too close was told to step back and he promptly did. The crowd of people that surrounded the 2 cops arresting the naked wizard was as "aggressive" as this crowd. In this video of the cops arresting some skateboarders, they were more aggressive and got up in the cops face holding items that could be used as weapons http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOKb2PQs4kc but everyone here defended the skateboarders. The girls were young, immature, and obviously weren't taught how to act when dealing with police, and their actions got them arrested. The rest of the crowd that was there didn't do anything different than anyone would to verbally protest what was going on and to capture it all on video. It's just the look of the crowd that makes it seem so dangerous to everyone here.
Yea I hate to seem like the Grand Dragon of the KKK here, but that woman went straight into that cop and was trying to physically restrain him from making an arrest.Misleading headline.
My experience is that there is nothing good happening on Martin Luther King......Blvd, St., Dr. etc. no matter what city you are in. Look like it could have been a setup; nice play. Video along with litigation will bring a nice chunk of change to the girl's pocket, at tax payers expense. Officers should think twice about enforcing the law without proper backup.

"Also, it says the officer was dealing with a male jaywalker, how did these two girls get involved?"Sir, this was because it was a gentlemen moment:http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=nig ...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0B9QGrpdu5Y
