Why hasn't the builder given more detail on the construction? I initially thought he was prototyping a commercial application, but at the end of the vid he lists all of the tools used. Would be great for DIY if someone were so inclined.
thanks, PowerCow. it is truly frustrating to see these "DUPE!" posts on every single comments board on digg. if you have seen a news story already, then move on to the next one. there is no need to advertise it, for all you are advertising is the fact that you have way too much free time on your hands to never miss a front page story.i had also never seen this video, and am very glad that it was posted again.
"the air force already has unmanned remotely controllable aircraft"You gotta be s**ttin' me... the military somehow managed to attach a camera to a multi-million dollar UAV? f**kin' amazing. You must be someone special to have that kind of insider knowledge.Seriously, you kids realize that there's an average of ten years before military technology reaches the private sector, right?

It probably costs $1000 - $1500... the controller and the head-mounted display are the most expensive bits. http://paperlined.org/product_searches/video_plane.html
