me being an architect student, i agree. it is expensive-looking, and a slap in the face of sustainable architecture. programmatically, i don't see what the material does for the firefighters. maybe the benefits aren't obvious.with that said, pretty sad to see an meh-to-decent architecture design being dugg only because it is curved, expensive, and has exessive glass. if i had the time i would digg some suprisingly wonderful architecture in america, some that's as close as driving distance, (for the most of you) just to show you what strong architecture is.with THAT said, i guess you can credit a design that captured Average Joe's attention.
