@newman8r: Like I said, the large fan leaves (the ones with the shape that we tend to associate with the plant) have virtually no THC content, and some even argue that they have none. I've never tried it myself, but every report I've heard of somebody smoking a whole lot of fan leaves from even the most potent plants resulted in nothing but a headache (and a pretty bad cough for a few days, I'd imagine). And yes, like I said before, the tiny leaves that grow off of the buds do contain plenty of visible THC crystals on their surface, but these leaves don't have the shape of the fan leaves and simply look like plain greenery (albeit very sparkly greenery). That is what shake is, these small bud leaves and the other less-desirable parts of the bud. It sounds like Deadpoetic333 was indeed smoking some leafy shake in the Ukraine, but there would have been no fan leaves in it. The main reasons for me saying this is 1. most people know that the fan leaves have no psychoactive compounds in them and 2. when dried, the fan leaves crumble into dust, as they don't lend themselves to being cured like the buds and bud leaves.@AManWithNoName: As Rysac1 said below, it was in fact a Japanese Maple. I posted a link of it below too, those things look nearly identical to pot leaves and to my 8th grade self they looked like the most cool pot leaves ever.

awesome, yet nauseating at the same time.

It's probably Japanese Maple. Beautiful trees, but the leaves are a bit misleading.
