i did a lot of lucid dreaming a few years ago. but i attained it by accident, i was experimenting with a ketogenic diet and one of the effects was lucid dreaming. the dreams were amazing, i looked forward to my day ending just so i could go back to sleep.

Oh man this used to be a big thing for me...It started when once I realized I was dreaming and I startedjumpin off stuff landing on my head and realized I couldn't scream. It's happened a few other times but it's been a while. One time I had a dream I was chillin on my computer and realizedI was dreaming, then suddenly I knew exactly where I was sleepingand what position, so I started trying to pull my head up to wakeup and I finally just popped up really quick. Another timethat kept happening everytime I'd fall back asleep.

I've managed to dream lucidly a handful of times and its pretty cool. Looking at clocks or printed text is usually a good indicator.

I honestly didn't know you had to work to control a self-created dream. I've been doing this since as long as I can remember.Maybe it isn't easy for some people.

I didn't read the whole site, cause I've read tons of it all ready. Don't know if they mentioned it, but you can change your reality with lucid dreaming. You can improve just about any skill in reality by using lucid dreamingOh... and you can study in your dreams too, cant remember how much it was,but about 85% of what you study in your dream will be correct if you had to write a test the next day.

This was covered in an episode of Star Trek Voyager.

I pulled a "Whhhaaaaaaa?" when I saw it mentioned in Voyager about a month ago. Was kind of funny since I've known it so well for so long and never heard it even so much as acknowledged in anything mainstream at all. Also, note that dream control and lucidity are two VERY different things. You can control a dream and have your consciousness way below any noticable amount that you would get with lucid dreaming. The two can be connected but are otherwise seperate.

I had some lucid dreams, but I have to say. To me it's a bit like television: Not real somehow. If you not aware of dreaming it's somehow more real, AND I'm always more tired after a lucid-dream-night than usual.some tips thou: Don't focus to long on anything (and don't try reading something, cause normally are no letters in a dream) unless you want to wake up.

That doesnt work for me. I've found I'm perfectly able to read while in dreams, I dont know where the myth of "you cant read while in dreams" came from.... :/

I had it happen only once by accident. It was very cool. Though it didn't last long.
