thinkprogress.org — Pixar's Wall-E portrays a lonely robot?s quest for love, as he is left to clean up a trashed earth. Meanwhile, the over-indulged humans wait it out aboard gigantic spaceships run by a monolithic corporation-turned-government that ?resemble spas for the fat and lazy.? Somehow, this touching love story has outraged the radical right.

Is the Right trying to be ironic? Are they just parodying themselves after a while?

Above is evidence for the self contradictory nature of christianity. You can find double standards in every religious book. Both the new Testament and the Old Testament were written by human beings. Also, why would a loving god send his son to die a torturous death. This would have been a great idea had it achieved anything, but it clearly didnt.I'm a better father than god because I woudn't send my own child to be tortured, only to be resurrected again. But hey keep praying, I'm sure you'll realise your stupidity in a decade or two.

Were you offended by Toy Story's message of friendship and cooperation too? What about A Bug's Life message about standing up for yourself? Pixar always has a message in their movies. Most good movies have some sort of message or moral at the end. Whether you agree with that message or not it should at least makes you think, and that's what makes those movies good. I'd really like to know what liberal overtones existed in Wall-E. Is it that maybe sitting on your fat ass mindlessly consuming and throwing away cheap food and products while gossiping about irrelevant bulls**t might not be a good way to live your life? Is it that it's probably not a good idea to continue down a road that could result in rendering our planet unable to sustain our civilization? Whether you think what we're doing right now will result in turning Earth into a wasteland is irrelevant. Whether you think the movie was exaggerated is irrelevant (it is after all a cartoon). The end result of recklessly consuming everything in sight and dumping our trash everywhere is not pretty. We all know the love story doesn't offend conservative since it was between a "male" and "female" robot, although it was technically interracial so maybe some might have a problem with it.

Many fundamentalist Christians are anti environmentalist. They believe that global warming is a hoax and that it is a movement to put animals above humans-which is in violation of the bible which says God gave Adam dominion over the animals. Some people also take this to mean that if people hunt an animal to extinction, well then, God wanted those animals to die out.

Tebixan, Thanks for showing your true colors, if you actually believe a line that is said by a comedian for a comedic reaction then you clearly don't have the intelligence to look past your own bias.

Gonthim, about generating garbage... I live in a large city. We have a few garbage dumbs around the outskirts. The garbage dump gets filled over. When full, it closes and trees start growing on it. Trees. And animals live on and around it healthily. 50 years later they treid digging up an old dump and found... nothing. It just disintegrates. There is no problem with trash. It goes back into the earth from where it came from. All of it. It all decomposes. So don't try to push fear on gullible children.

Those scientifically illiterate idiots can't even follow a well thought out sci-fi movie plot line ... the movie is set some 700 years into the future, following five long generations of humans `enduring` the micro-gravity of extended space flight, causing extreme bone density loss and resulting tendency towards obesity from inactivity ... I dunno, maybe I'm missing the point ...

@rtl924 MSNBC is garbage that hardly seems cutting edge to all but the most moronic of the left-wing. They just repeat themselves with the occasional morsels of real news that slip through.
