mediamatters.org — The conservative punditocracy that has spent the past eight years propping up a president who gave us an illegitimate war and leaves us with an almost unimaginably bad economic crisis apparently grows weary of defending this spectacular failure of a president. And so they're trying to bring Franklin Roosevelt down to George W. Bush's level.

The Republican party is incredibly devious, almost masters of propaganda. They're current angle is to claim that bush and the neocons were never really conservatives in the first place, and that Obama is really the one who is continuing the failed policies of the bush regime. Unfortunately, it seems to have taken hold on the mindset of many (and may I say, those who are more gullible). The simple fact is this: our country is on the brink of an economic catastrophe. Everything is hitting at the same time and something serious must be done soon. To ignore the angry elephant in the room is no solution. Investment worked in the New Deal and will work today. Get Americans working on real jobs again!

You can spin the data any way you want. People will eventually call you out on it though.

Republican's know the art of brainwashing. If you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes the truth. They know this, and it works pretty much every time sadly.
