newsjunkiepost.com — Although conservative Christians, Evangelicals in particular have always been somewhat of a radical fringe in America, lately their messages have grown increasingly extreme. Death wish slogans, praying for his death, virtual fatwas, they are deliberately creating an explosive situation that could easily lead to an assassination.

"conservative Christians, Evangelicals [..] have always been somewhat of a radical fringe in America"Wow, I'm pretty sure you don't have a very good grasp of America's demographic makeup. I would hardly call them a fringe, and just because they don't love Obama doesn't make them radical. You won't win any sway with the other half if you can't keep your hyperboles under control. This is unnecessary fodder.

Its just a problem. You cant really do something against people who go out and "demonstrate" but apparently threatening the president of the United States is ok as long as you are a Christian American citizen. If you are a Muslim from Morocco and threaten the President while IN Morocco they probably put you on all possible no-flight lists and more of things like that. No, I really dont know what they are really doing. Just wanted to point out that it is ridiculous that people can threaten the president publically and get away with it.

No, threatening the president is not ok. And I'm a Christian American citizen. All threats should be followed up.

DeathToaster, my avatar is a healthcare reform logo. What did you mean by "I think the submitter's little user icon thing tells you everything you need to know about this article" if it wasn't a comment about hcr?

curunir,Seriously, you are the one that is ignorant, context is important. Whether you fix it by learning is what tells us if you are stupid or not. That entire passage is a prayer for VENGEANCE against the writers ENEMIES. To pull out a single sentence out of it and pretend that the rest of the source has no effect on it's meaning is purely BULLs**t and no one that has more than two braincells to rub together is going to believe it, not even the crazy ass fundies who are actually praying for him to die.Although, going by your posting history I fear I already know the answer to your personal problem.

The facts are in the numbers, and believe me I haven't. Clinton was less bad than the others, just as the video shows, but you're even more clueless than the average econ-101-challenged lefty Digger if you think I'm somehow supporting the Republicans here. I'm in support of fiscal sanity, which is why Digg so-hates that video.

My fear is sufficiently mongered. Thanks Ole Novey.

the 98-pound-weakling who has spent the better part of 17 centuries destroying every alternative to itself - Christianity. Now that Christianity has become more moderate in its approach to other cultures (though it still engages in cultural genocide) the extremists are pissed off and want a return to the 13th century. Read some history, Lorelei.

so, you're saying that its not right now to target him with threats and the like, but at a different time it would be ok?
