I've always admired Sean Connery as a true actor. I remember an interview once where someone asked him that he does some surprising roles and appearances in "bad movies." and why he does it since he's Sean Connery and can do just great films. He replied: I'm an actor. You pay my fee, I'll show up and do my best. That's my job.

Lame or not, Connery could have easily come out of retirement for a week, and play a minor still crucial role in the film. Suppose the script sucks indeed. Sigh.

It is too bad that Lucas waited 18 years for the Indy 4 franchise. Harrison Ford will be 65 and Connery 77. Connery had waited many years to do the Indy 4, and his refusal now is totally understandable. Everyone knows that Connery was responsible for the huge success for Indy 3 - the Last Crusade.To me, No Connery means NO Indy 4, at the box office, that simple.Good Luck, Lucas. Wow i would hope thats not true. That would really ruin connery's reputation imho. He's done a lot of excellent roles and i liked him in several movies, however if he truley only picked his roles because of who paid him the best bit then I feel quite sad. I don't mind a actor demanding a certain pay, several actors do, but even those actors won't do a role for the most part if they are not satisfied with how the movies script looks. Shame.
