washtimes.com — The 'New' Congress will approve an immigration bill that will grant citizenship rights to most of the 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens in the U.S. after Democrats take control next month, predict both sides on Capitol Hill.

Deport the illegals and let them apply for citizenship legally like everyone else.Amnesty sends the wrong message. Amnesty is an open invitation to jump in front of everyone in line and cheat the system. It's just not right to reward lawbreakers. We need to start enforcing the laws of this country, and that includes our President. Many of these lawbreakers have stolen documents in order to gain employment, hurting legal citizens. This is wrong. It's unfair for us legal citizens to be required to pay illegal aliens taxes, and then reward the illegals for stealing our identification with citizenship.

This is the one issue that causes me to side with those who want to Impeach Bush, and soon I believe many will feel just as I do. What a lousy way to learn a lesson though.

economics 101: pricing levels, supply, demand. the market takes care of itself. if the prices become too high, either the consumer will adapt and switch to a different vegetable (which, believe me: will. never. run. out.) or grow their own, which will force the supplier to adapt to lower the prices and innovate. whether they develop a better way to automate picking lettuce heads, or switch to a different hybrid of lettuce which makes it easier to harvest, at no point in time will there be an instance where a consumer will be willing to pay for a $5 per head of lettuce AND a supplier will NOT do anything about it.intiende, dumbass?

aw. isn't that precious. "i'm losing this argument so i'll go to dismissing my initial point which is that prices will be SO high we can't let our slave laborers go," says teck64.do you know that this government's weak stance on illegal immigration is what is keeping those illegal aliens poor? that it is only fueling human trafficking? that they are paying blood money so they can sneak in here *ILLEGALLY*? there goes your biggest argument, teck64.hey, everyone, teck64 is for slave labor wages. tell your friends.

Tech54, you seem to be quite willing to support a large group that is in your face by ignoring our laws. What other laws do you support breaking? The Illegal Alien discussion goes beyond cheap Mexican labor. It encompasses the open border policy that allows Illegal drugs to be supplied to America's children, it covers the people who support the 21st Century version of slavery, and at issue is how people who hate America and hope to do it harm are allowed to walk right in. Do you keep your doors open at night? There is a labor shortage in Mexico. If Americans really care about the welfare of other countries then we must do all that we can to send the Mexicans back home. Their country needs them!I've never before seen anyone get so worked up over a head of lettuce. /sarc

So much for the land of the free - Are you Native American or something? I doubt you are. I'm pretty sure your ancestors came from somewhere other than the United States, and even if they did come here LEGALLY, I'm pretty sure they were oppressed and treated like s**t, just like every illegal in the US today. I'm tired of everyone accusing illegals for all their problems. Oh and tax argument, there's TRILLIONS of taxes "MISSING" UNCOUNTED FOR; and guess what there is no illegals working in the IRS. As for the people who do it the right way, my heart goes out to you, for you were born with the ability[$] to do so.here we go. the "your ancestors are illegal aliens, too" bulls**t argument.fact: there were no border laws when the settlers came to the united states. you're citing an impossible and illogical argument. there were no immigration laws to break so there was no such thing as illegal immigration back then. the native americans had no borders to protect because they never claimed the entire north america as theirs. they have their tribal lands to protect, but if one were to cross the now mexicali border, it would be as simple as crossing a state border (most of which were not even established back then).and isn't it typical of an illegal immigration stooge like you to hold it against us LEGAL immigrants because we were determined enough to go through the process legally. oh and that's right. we have money. we're educated, and we have enough money to move here. i'm not apologizing for it. us and our families scraped and saved and worked a LOT to come up with enough money to educate us and afford to move here LEGALLY. and i'm not ashamed to say that i'm educated and could afford to live here, comfortably, AND command a salary increase every year out of my employer's accord, AND walk into a company and apply for a job that pays more than the minimum wage.aren't you the typical little socialist trash.

It amazes me that people who are breaking the damn law are going to come out a head of me. I am the one that is paying higher insurance costs, health care and god knows how much more and not breaking the law but, do i put out my hand and demand anything NO. So much for the middle class American. This bill sickens me, it pisses me off even more when i see them marching carrying a Mexican flag and telling me that i cant say that the main language in my own country should be English. thank you to all the politicians and to my President for protecting my rights as an American citizen by giving me the middle finger.

the immigration issue is not the same from every aspect you look at it. there is a simpler solution if people would take the time to think things over rationaly instead of jumping on the kill all illegals band wagon. These people that come to the country that is known as the land of the free home of the brave, I give them credit for being brave enough to try for their freedom. How would you feel in their shoes. quite frankly if you know your history well, this great land of ours was FOUNDED by immigrants who by the way FLED to the land to escape punishment to escape hardships to pursue life liberty and happiness. Your constitution if you have ever taken the time to read it states that we are all equal and just because you have had the privilage to be born in the country gives you no right to do that very which Dr. Martin Luther king fought and gave his life against, yes Racism comes in all different shades, shapes and sizes. Listen to yourself very carefully, do not discriminate against anyone, give every one the benefit of the doubt, ask your self what are these people runing from, do some research about those country whose people are fleeing from in order to seek refuge under the arms of lady liberty. These peolpe do not want to harm you if anything they want to help build up this great nation. they want to work hard like everyone else. How do you think they feel about doing those low paying jobs that even the poorestr of American citizens would pass up. Taking all the jobs, bull s**t. I say if we as a nation wants to fix our immigration issues, we should first of all CLOSE the borders, no migration from any country, this would send that message that everyone is talking about that AMERICA is not playing anymore games with it's borders. then, we need to legalize all immigrants who are here now. then a country at a time, set a cap for the number of individuals that will be let in at any time, this way the burden would lessen on DHS because it would be easier to monitor who entered, where they entered and when the are set to leave. It would also cut down on overstays because they would be easier to track. This way everyone has a job, those who wnt it anyway, and prices which I don't see how it comes into play will not overinflate on account of immigration. Ok for now, lets try talking about this issue in a more civilized manner and not fuel hate my friends because this country has come too far along to reverse and repeat history.
