gizmodo.com— The iPod Touch has been dissected by the ace mechanics at iFixit. And unless they overlooked something?actually, screw the constant hedging. There's no Bluetooth in the iPod Touch. That's it. Final.

@macbot Dugg Down ? WTF Do you MEAN !! You idiot how is this inaccurate -FROM THE PEOPLE WHO TOOK IT APART !! UPDATE 1: We're talking more to iFixit on the matter. There was a faulty consensus that their lack of report on Bluetooth implied that there was no Bluetooth. That was our mistake.
When that MP3 player includes a web browser and a wifi connection, there's all sorts of great things to do. The thing is, the iPod Touch isn't an "MP3 Player"
I just paid for the 3.0 upgrade for my iPod Touch and boy what a disappointment. Is this how Apple treats people by giving them Bluetooth just to have it be so locked down that you can't do anything with it? I can't do dial up networking (DUN), I can't utilize my Bluetooth GPS, I can't do file transfers with my cell phone or Nokia N810 or laptop but I can pair with them (except for the GPS). There are no services offered from the iPod Touch and I don't see anywhere you can use other devices other than bluetooth headset or stereo headphones. Am I missing something? Please flame me or whatever to tell me I'm wrong because I want these things so bad, mostly the dial-up networking so that I can browse while away from wifi like I do every day with my other devices.

You have to be a level 20 fanboy to activate the bluetooth. Go grind some more ipods and you'll get there in no time!

Why is bluetooth such a big deal? Is there some way to use a bluetooth NES controller on it for emulators? Otherwise, why should I care about this?http://tinyurl.com/ys38lt

It's not on the ipod touch so people buy the iphone instead, cause it has more features.
