Cool and all, takes an awful long time to go through the whole process.

Obviously some of you failed to RTFA! You have to place a reflective sensor in the parking area. With this setup, it won't parallel park itself.

This is not about the parking in itself. The good part is that you can remain outside while the car is parking. This means that you can park in very tight places (10 inches each side of the car). Believe me, I can park in a place as tight as that without a problem. The problem is: How do you get out of the car after you're parked? There is no way to open a BMW door in 10 inches.I would love something like this. This way I can put two BMWs in the garage instead of one and another one outside.

Who cares about baby boomers. Thankfully they are not long for this world.

How is it not realistic? There's cars available with automatic parallel parking options already in Europe and Japan.
