I would assume that if you mention a domain that doesn't exist, and someone buys it and puts up some objectional content, then it would bring a public outcry. Say he mentions some site that doesnt exist and someone buys it and puts up anti-semitism content or some other form of racial content. NBC would get attacked so hard...
No idea if its a true gag or not, but I did a WhoIs on the domain and found that it was actually registered on Monday Dec 4... So the story checks our - It just might be true!Sorry - dupe. Nevermind.
To you who doubt I say this: extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidense. Please don't call this website a conspiracy by NBC with only an assumption. And to refute your claim: The show is recorded before a live audience. Argue the liability all you want but certainly people heard what Conan said before it could have been bleeped.I think jumping the gun and making that claim was just silly. Chill.

I agree with cuparties. NBC is obviously pushing press about this in order to gain hits on the website. It's clever.

wow, NBC seems to hate free advertising. Or maybe there afraid people wont watch it on the rerun if they see a short clip on YouTube.
