She fell into an eating disorder problem many years ago. It happens. Do you have any clue how hard it is to lose that weight once you put it on? Even if you maintain the status quo and eat healthier, you retain that weight you gained. You still have to put in a lot of effort over a very long time to lose the weight. It's not easy. What I want to know is why you guys feel she owes it to YOU to lose the weight? She's doing it for herself - or at least trying to. So what if she is ill-disciplined? I bet most people here have the same problem breaking old habits. How many diggers here smoke and can't quit? Gaining weight is worse than trying to quit smoking. You HAVE to eat food. You can't just quit. Quitting smoking takes willpower to just stop. And after under 30 days, you are pretty much done. Losing weight means a whole change in diet, lifestyle, but you have to still eat something. And your body fights your efforts to lose weight in response. So many hate-filled Diggers here have NO CLUE what it's like or how difficult it is. And not one of you has a clue what happened in her life to cause her to gain weight. Emotional eating is a serious disorder that is extremely hard to overcome. The ignorance here astounds me. At least the medical field knows the truth and knows how hard it is to change one's life enough to lose the weight. I'd like to see any of you quit drinking soda, coffee, energy drinks, etc for the rest of your life, drinking JUST water, and tell us how EASY it was to change just that one small aspect of your life. An obese person has to do that and so much more for years. And then they risk falling back into old patterns for the rest of their life.
