If it's the "first stable release", why not make it 1.0? :-)

if you're using Gutsy just do "sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get upgrade" in the terminal, it will show you anything that needs to be updated. if it says anything about compiz. it is. heheh....

can anyone here validate zwaldowskis claim? i thought compiz fusion in gutsy was the "real thing." it works exactly the same as when i had it in feisty. is this just FUD and am i just feeding the trolls?

It may be the first stable release but it's not feature complete. It would be as if Apple released Leopard as 10.5 but without some of the features they promised. Hm...Vista comes to mind. Anyway, yeah, stable does not always equal x.0 code.

I have no idea how to upgrade my computer.. Forgive me I am a complete newbie.. only using Linux Ubuntu Gutsy for a few days now. Although I love the package manager and the like.. sometimes I get frustrated I can't just download and double click.. Maybe people can't upgrade yet.. Idk..
