bevreview.com — In April, Pepsi is rolling out a sugar-sweetened version of their flagship beverage, called Pepsi Throwback. At the same time their citrus-powered market leader, Mountain Dew, will also see a sugar version hit, aptly named Mountain Dew Throwback. Thanks to trademark filings, we have some additional information about these new beverages.

I prefer aspartame flavored mountain dew anyway.

When I lived in Japan, I got addicted to real sugar coke. It was a long time after I got home before I could drink anything with HFCS in it, but Mountain Dew was my gateway -- it is and has always been my favorite soda. In Japan, however, Mountain Dew didn't taste right. Someone told me it was because the citrus they used wasn't the same kind, but it was a more locally available type. I just hope sugarized Mountain Dew tastes right.

So true. I fell in love with real sugar coke when living outside of the US. But when I came here I couldn't drink it.
