WOW! the BALLS of Comcast! to sue a government entity when the government of the US INVENTED, DEVELOPED and PAID these providers to build this network! Unbelievable! SUE COMCAST! Learn about the broadband fraud! Time Warner is currently down, and has been for a couple hours. I am coming in on cellular backup, and I read THIS? Unbelievable! Comcast should be taken over by the government if they are going to pull this BS! Don't buy the book, but here is an outline on how the United States public has been shafted by the broadband companies, who have been paid $200 BILLION dollars to build a nationwide network, and have FAILED to meet their deadlines, and are now overcharging the US and providing inferior service at an inflated price! - http://unitedstatessolarenergy.com/?p=44
@ewc80How dare you imply that I am a pirate simply by disagreeing with your statement. You are an idiot if you think using 250 GB a month automatically implies the user is pirating. There are many streaming media sources that can eat up 250 GB a month. What if You Tube decided to change their videos to HD quality? What about people who use Hulu? They already are adding HD content. What about VoIP? And there's Steam, downloading a game a day from their service could add to hitting the cap. That might be just your use of the broadband. What about your wife, children, or other people that share your home? Might they have some potentially heavy usage as well? The truth of the matter is that the internet has outgrown the networks of the ISP that refuse to grow with it and now the needs of the public is threatening the profits of the greedy ISP corporations. What they forget is that the network and the internet belong to the people. It is a tool we have gifted to the ISPs in order for them to provide us with service. It's our network, not theirs.
what the hell is "turbo" mode on comcast.. and has anyone figured out how to make it last more then 30 seconds? (i think the 30 second timer is for the speed test sites). ok so they offer me turbo mode at 1 MB a second but i can only use it for 70 hours a month or 2.5 hours a day... if there networks are so congested why do they keep doubling the speeds?i dont understand why comcast is so angry at wanting to screw its customers (legaly of course).. its willing to try and sue the government. I hope the government puts them in there place and slaps some heavy fines, and possibly REFUNDS to customers!
We desperately need a Net Neutrality law. Any company or government body that has the ability to control the flow of information on the Internet is GUARANTEED to begin using that power for illicit and sinister purposes.
I don't know if you are a pirate or not greevar. Don't be so defensive. I don't remember saying that Greevar is a pirate so relax. Lets not throw around petty and uninspired insults like "idiot" greevar it lowers and degrades you as a man. How is that as an insult?I just don't think that piracy or excessive bandwidth usage are defensible by "fair use" laws.Oh and by the way your defensive reaction clearly indicates that you are a pirate!
