Why do you have the right to say they suck if you have no experience with them?

Wait, so I don't have to rent it?

Bulls**t. Look up "CableCard" on wikipedia, and stop lying to your customers.

No I don't see. The modem can be bought and the cable box cannot. There is no connection.

It actually is their business since you're using their service. If you choose not to use their service you can indeed do whatever you want with coax cables connected to things in your house. It won't be very interesting though.

a response to your comment to me, posted here as stupid digg wont do proper replies nested deeper than 3 levels.oh really? What about going to a library and borrowing some books, or spending time with friends, visiting a pub, etc?and why the fuss about watching a bunch of men run around playing rugby? wouldn't it be a lot better if you went and played the game yourself?I can promise you playing sports is a lot more fun than watching them, and you get yourself in shape at the same time. You can get a freeview box for £30 here which is the equivalent of 76 NZ dollars. there are plenty of sky subscriptions that'd charge that much in 2 or three months.Don't waste your time sitting in front of a box watching other people live their lives and their pretend lives and pay throgh the nose to do it, thats not a life at all.Get some hobbies!
