torrentfreak.com — Today, Richard Bennett from the Register wrote an article in which he argues that Comcast's BitTorrent interference is reasonable. Not only does this alleged expert make absurd claims, he also thinks it's necessary to take on the EFF. Time for a rebuttal.

It would be nice - but it's pretty hard for small companies to be competative in the ISP game these days. Comcast and the big boys buy multiple OC-48 and split them up per user for a lot lower rate than a little company buying multiple T-3....simply less overhead per user.

Well, maybe not a free upgrade. How about the stuff I've already paid for? Tax dollars for infrastructure, and my regular bill which "allegedly" entitles me to a certain speed. What say you, Comcast?

Comcast deserves what any other dishonest company deserves -- loss of customers, drop off in revenue, and eventual bankruptcy.Though I wouldn't mind seeing Comcast executives losing their houses and dying of starvation on the street.
