It was only a matter of time. We can only hope that it makes it possible for other big bandwidth services to make their way into the market.

I'll use my 1.5-3.0mbps connection for whatever I please, Mr. ISP.

"Comcastic"? More like "Comcraptic." Unfortunately, in Minneapolis, I don't have much of a choice in broadband :'(

TFA doesn't answer my question! The article discusses encryption in both positive and negative lights, it is completely conflicted and confusing. It never discusses ports or utorrent. Thanks.

Comcast says they aren't doing anything, other's say they are messing around. I wonder which it is.I've posted it on my blog. http://comcastissue.blogspot.comI'm curious if the truth will come out. Never know with this company

Dude, don't even bother bragging about it. Nobody cares anymore. Back in 1997, when most people were still on dial-up, perhaps, but 1 TB is really f**k all these days.

Welcome to the world of Marketing where unlimited doesn't mean unlimited. You see, bandwidth costs, and when those people sucking up all the bandwidth slow it down for everyone else.... you know what? I'm not going to try and explain ISP economics 101, but I will say that you bank on a certain amount of high users but then when you get 3 times that many... it's costing you more than you expect and as a publicly traded company they have to keep profits up rather than quality of service up.

That very low. Thats only about 40KB/s. You would need 40 people seeding at that rate just to take advantage of all my bandwidth. Use newsgroups through a good provider such as Giganews, Easynews, or Newsfeeds. You won't mess with turtle-pace bittorrent much anymore after that.

Cable > DSL. Simple as that. But that's not the argument we have here.

I just moved to California from Arizona, and the roomates I'm with have Time Warner. I have ot say that you're right. If I start downloading anything on iTunes or a P2P program the download DIES completely... although the internet still works fine! I can even ping out to any website or IP outside of my router and it responds instantly.
