It's really a shame for people who live in areas with Comcast because its not like a restaurant where if you don't like it, you don't have to eat there. People need the internet and often, their only options are Comcast or dial-up.

I'm bemused that you ridicule us for making a comparison to socialism when this isn't a perfect example, and then cite an imperfect example of a free market. To be fair, it's the notion of socialism which allowed the intrusion of government on the marketplace, and the notion of free-markets which allows corporations to buy influence. We're effectively getting the bulls**t associated with both concepts.

In case this SCAM didn't give you all a clue: All the ISPs are planning on GOUGING customers in every possible way. My favorite example is evil Time Warner's plan to sell accounts with download limits. For every GB you go over your limit you will have to pay as much as $7.42. The actual cost to Time Warner for each GB download, as reported by the New York Times, is 10?. That's as much as a 73x markup in pure greed profit. Time Warner are currently pulling this SCAM in one of their monopoly markets in Texas to see how much flack they get from customers. Imagine downloading a $3.99, 3 GB movie from iTunes and ending up paying over $26 for it because you're over your download limit. This is the kind of crap corrupt corporations are willing to pull if they can get away with it. :-P**********

Seriously - I HATE CON-CAST! I find they are over priced and full of s**t, Do you want HD TV, Pay for it! When the networks are broadcasting it for free.
