scrawford.net — What’s the solution? Structural separation. You’re either a plain-vanilla transport company serving all comers, or you’re something else competing for our attention. But this mixture, this hybrid of apparent-communication plus editorial control, is unacceptable.

At least Comcast tries to target only Bittorrent traffic. Cox here in Arkansas will simply cut off your connection if they find you to be using torrents, leaving you without internet unless you restart your modem.

I know in my case, living in the middle of nowhere, there is no other option for high speed internet. Not to mention that our cable and phone are through comcast because the options suck. Living in the city you might have a choice, but out here it's comcast or nothing, and though it sucks it's better than dial up!

Assuming that this description of what Comcast is doing is correct, is there any reason we can't simply keep complaining to our, respective, States' Attorneys General to have them brought up on identity theft charges? It shouldn't even be a civil matter, just simple criminal charges.
