OK and this gets to front page HOW?Do we have that many pervs with sock fetishes out there whacking off now to these pics? I bet they're cutting and pasting these socks onto their favorite pics of nude porn models in photoshop and whacking off right this very moment. Sorry but I do not believe there's that many crocheters out there on digg, not enough to get something like this to front page, but sock fetish freaks, oh yes.
Gees, what a bunch of grouches. So if sox aren't your thing, don't click on the tab. What makes digg fun is the variety and scope of things with which to enlighten myself/waste my time. Viva la variety!

Yes, only old people knit: "Results 1 - 10 of about 2,450,000 for knitting blog" http://www.google.com/search?q=knitting+blogBesides, who says knitting and tech stuff have to be separate? For example, http://bajada.typepad.com/everybody_wants_a_rock/2005/03/calling_all_gee.html or http://knitty.com/ISSUEwinter06/PATTbinary.html or http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring07/PATTbmp.html (some of which have been on Digg before)

Even as a chick and a knitter, I'm seriously going WTF here.....how did this get on digg? I feel like I'm in a parallel universe.I would assume that any knitting even having a chance of hitting the front page would have to involve a fair isle apple logo or a stuffed linux penguin. These socks are cute, but there is geekier knitting out there:http://cache.kotaku.com/images/2006/05/supermarioscarf.jpghttp://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f171/PersnicketyKnitter/Scarves/alien-angle-600x739-50.jpghttp://static.flickr.com/46/141398971_9ff92615f4.jpg?v=0http://www.renf.org/dory/?p=161 (Someone actually knitted an iBook, haha!)http://www.liv-art.com/Images/crafts/Knitting/Toys_LinuxPenguin%20005.jpg (and someone did knit the penguin too!)None of those links go to stuff I've made, though I have made the alien illusion scarf (link #2) and I knitted a cosy for a wireless keyboard once to keep cat hair off of it.

I myself (who is a knitter) was confused as to how this got to the front page on Digg. It doesn't seem to go with the Digg demographic. Nothing too special about those socks either, there are way cooler/more complicated patterns out there. And to all you Digg guys, I know the knitting average age was somewhere between the ages 50-95 yrs. but the fiber crafts has gone through a bit of an overhaul in the last 10 years or so. Lot's of young, good looking ladies are picking up the needles. Less christmas sweaters and more of this: http://www.amazon.com/Naughty-Needles-Bedroom-Beyond-Potter/dp/0307337375/ref=pd_bbs_2/104-8064860-9799937?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1182912890&sr=8-2http://www.knitpicks.com/Knitting+Lingerie+Style_BD30936.html
