latimes.com — Colbert the character, a right-wing blowhard on a one-man mission to reeducate the ignorant, is convincing enough that a recent Ohio State University study found that a majority of conservatives polled believed Colbert the man was one of them. The irony couldn't please him more. "I'm thrilled by it!" he says.

I am conservative and I hear him but thanks for speaking for all of us even though you're not even a conservative..

Another way you know you're dealing with a right-wing moron is when they use the phrase "Democrat Party" instead of "Democratic Party."

I love it when the left uses words like "Democratic" or "Progressive" to mask their true intentions of equality of outcome over equality of opportunity.

Although, you've gotta say that the Democratic Party leans lefter than the GOP, and the GOP righter than the Democrats.

I'm quite aware that her blog post was not a parody. I did not feel that she was unaware Colbert was joking. "I would have assumed, like the friends who are visiting me right now, that Colbert was purely making fun of religion, parodying a fundamentalist believer in Biblical inerrancy."She then goes on to make some insightful points about Colbert's being a Catholic. I enjoyed her post and I'm Agnostic. Were you reading the same blog? I quickly looked at some other posts... i don't get it am i supposed to write her off as crazy for her posts against creationism and ID on should I mock her for her interest in the hubble telescope? In the About Me section she describes herself as a radical centrist, You may have a good point but i've been unable to find it. (assume I know the difference between atheist, agnostic [both strong and weak] and can appreciate a good deal of subtly)

Hopefully you're being sarcastic. If not, damn, you still don't get it after reading the article and seeing all these comments? Let me guess, you voted for Bush twice, you think Saddam Hussein was the leader of Al Qaida, and you still think we're going to find those WMD's any minute now.

Colbert would lose money if he were the president.
