I guess they can kill the people that work on the machines if they quit.You know the rainbow books of ma bell used to be top secret... Phreakers got them too.. and with bbs systems.. easily traded that info.(pre common internet)
The best way to get free drinks from a soda machine that takes dollar bills!Did this in prep school and I can verify that it works.1. Get an empty spray bottle and fill with water.2. Fill the bottle with enough salt to make 100% solution3. Spray repeatedly into the bill taker slot.After about 5 minutes or so, simply press the buttons for soda. I swear it works.Not advocating stealing or vandalism...
What I think would be cool is if you could hack it so instead of it scrolling the message "Thirsty, drink coke!" have it scroll your own message like "All your base are belong to us"
