Actually a few years ago I was reading about the ability to turn natural gas into liquid form to make it more easy to transport. Ironically had the Russians the used this they could have cut out the Ukraine - but I think here in America it could be used in a very positive way. Although one thing is clear: Energy is security...

I'm still not convinced that buying foreign oil is a bad thing. I think that new sources of energy will develop organically out of this and other sources. The main thing we need, is for the government to stop intervening on behalf of oil companies to invade other countries. It still remains to be seen if any fuel source can actually match oil in terms of it's energy output. We use it in part, because it works so freaking well.

A friend said ?A lot of people have created sources of fuel, and they have put them to use. But nobody has done anything to depth of making it more useful in these day to eliminate the buying of foreign oil. ? She recognized perhaps the deepest simple truth--oil money buys terrorism--sad but true. Producing oil from coal reduces the money supply used to buy missiles. For USA, coal is part of the near-term transition solution, a stepping stone, to a long-term energy supply which will be as green for our great-grandchildren as we can make it.
