huffingtonpost.com— On CNN's election night coverage Tuesday, political analyst Jeffrey Toobin called Hillary Clinton's refusal to concede the election "deranged narcissism."

There's no data that suggests Obama would lose substantial votes by adding Hillary to the ticket. And why would he - only the True Believers have enough emotionally invested in the Obama/Hillary battle to really chafe at seeing her on the ticket, and True Believers don't jump ship. Average Obama supporters would just shrug and vote Obama without caring at all. The downside for Obama is negligible, and the upside is snatching nearly all of the Hillary votes, many of whom would absolutely refuse to vote for Obama without Hillary on the ticket. She really is the obvious (read: only) choice for VP.
CORRECTION: She SHOULD have gotten rid of her pundits (Kiki, Lanny, James, Howard, and especially her husband Bill.) None of them helped her. Okay, I'll agree she "found her voice" at the end but sorry--too late. I will blame Hillary if the Democrats lose. SHE has the ability to unite the party but is only causing more divisiveness. So did you hear that Hillary has told Obama that he has one week to offer her the VP position or she won't consider it???????? Excuuuuuuuse meeeeee. And why is she still taking contributions on her website?
Jeffrey Toobin is one of the most fair and astute contributors to CNN "best political team." He was right on ----"deranged narcissism" is an apt description of her behavior for months, particularly last night. The nonsense that she needs time and space----I am 60 yrs. old and have seen many campaigns, I have never heard about a candidate needed time and space to concede---or is she special because she is a woman. I agree with many that Barack will not win with her diehard supporters. Those that support the same delusional thought process as she does do not recognize logical thought. Many others have supported her because they will never vote for Obama for a mirade of reasons----the plan should be to continue to form a new coalition of voters. Voter registration will be very important.Since when is it a negative to be college educated---why is that elitist? Why is eating healthy and exercising elitist? I voted for Bill Clinton. When he took office, Hillary wore the most incredibly ridiculous hat to the Inauguration. She looked like George Washington. It is the First Lady's job to look good for the Inauguration. Then, opposed to being ready to govern on Day One, Hillarystarted Ticketgate, Whitewater, and moved papers from Mr. Foster's office after he committed suicide. Is that what she means by being ready on DAY ONE. The idea that she would be given the opportunity yet again to broker the health insurance agenda through Congress is a joke. She has already failed at that project for reasons that Obama has clearly outlined. She was secretive; didn't have everyone to the table; she is imperious. Why do we need to allow that behavior to continue? If her behavior is deranged narcissism what do we call the behavior that is allowing this behavior to continue. The time and space that she needs should be spent with a therapist learning to deal with reality. T
MindyB it won't get easier on him here on out. Saying every candidate has an Achilles heel isn't false but the democrats never, bridge their gaps. They speak to the same people every Election, and it always backfires. Clinton as much as you dis like them was able to get to the Democratic Intellectuals that Obama speaks to, i.e. Tina Fey while still being able to pull support from Blue collar types. I am sorry but Nobody in this Election is right for America, Mc Cain is lost in his thirst to become president. Clinton has the grit but not the Charm. And Obama doesn't say leader. The media can not be blamed every time Barak Obama is criticized. This happens every election year and It is happening again. The republicans back somebody saying they would love to run against them, because they really don't want to. Dean 4 years ago, and Clinton this year. Both had one thing in Common they are vicious candidates that wouldn't back down. If you believe things are going to get better for Obama, I feel really bad for many Obama faithful. You can't be a leader with out intimidation you can be kind and gracious but there must be power behind those words not just eloquence.
Think that events are supporting the point, Coyote. Lots of negativity around the Clintons and the Obama campaign, former presidents, party leaders, pundits and others agree. Bringing her onto the ticket would be a challenge to the premise of the Obama campaign, one that has gotten me and a lot of others to contribute time and money where other candidates did not. (By the way, that's not a cartoon character. It's a photo of street art in the Marais, on rue de Rosiers, in case you're interested.)
Funny that a few commenters here assert I must be young to believe in the possibility of a new politics. Ha! Will take it as a compliment. There was a time when I was cynical about these things, but that's actually boring - the outcome is never in doubt when you never allow yourself to believe in the possibility of change. Dylan: I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now.

You should probably think about investing in gold and silver in these troubled times. Gold and silver can be a good hedge against economic volatility as long as you're not doing a leveraged trade. http://www.monexfraud.com/investment-strategies/bu ... You may wish to invest in the gold ETF (GLD) or the silver ETF (SLV) in a non-margin account. This is the least expensive way to invest. If you feel a need to to take delivery of your metals be extra cautious about who you buy from. Check the Better Business Bureau for complaints, ratings, and adviseries. Also check RipoffReport.com for complaints and read how or if they were handled.
