blogs.telegraph.co.uk — If you own any shares in alternative energy companies I should start dumping them NOW. The conspiracy behind the Anthropogenic Global Warming myth (aka AGW; aka ManBearPig) has been suddenly, brutally and quite deliciously exposed after a hacker broke into the computers at the University of East Ang...

"If you want to prove climate change wrong, just like if you want to prove evolution wrong, do it with science, evidence, research, and peer reviewed studies."What a complete perversion of logic. The Burden of Proof lies within the party that is making the outlandish claim that humans induce global warming - as opposed to the natural cyclical patterns of the earth. If I made the claim that kittens are a myth, I would be burdened with the obligation of proving that kittens do not exist. Until I provide the evidence that kittens do not exist you have no obligation to disprove me. If the evidence used to "prove" global warming was tampered with, then there is nothing to disprove - unless it is self evident that Al Gore is god in which case your axiom is questionable at best

Wow, you do an amazing job of deflecting the guilt.

NotVeryInsightful, Your comment is a non-sequitur. Considering how the peer review process has been totally corrupted, it's the same as saying Al Capone doesn't run Chicago because all his gangsters and pocketed police chiefs and politicians deny it. Using scientific analysis, those emails prove beyond any doubt whatsoever that those core scientists of AGW were in fact racketeers. And puh-leez, don't start with Big Oil. Big Green is far bigger in power, political pull and money. Al Gore has made $100,000,000.00 in nine years pushing this junk and fraudulent science. So give us a break, huh? Prove your case in layman's terms!

"So, stop looking into renewable energy because oil will last a little longer? REALITY: THE SHORT VIEW IS ALWAYS WRONG."Reality: the alarmist "we'll run out of oil" crowd has been trumpeting alternatives since before your grandfather was a gleam in your great-grandmother's eye. You go ahead and keep screaming at the sky, though."In 1914, the Bureau of Mines said that U.S. oil reserves would be exhausted by 1924. In 1939, the Interior Department said that the world had 13 years' worth of petroleum reserves. Then a global war was fought, and the postwar boom was fueled. In 1951 Interior reported that the world had . . . 13 years of reserves. In 1970, the world's proven oil reserves were an estimated 612 billion barrels. By 2006, more than 767 billion barrels had been pumped, and proven reserves were 1.2 trillion barrels. In 1977, scold in chief Jimmy Carter predicted that mankind 'could use up all the proven reserves of oil in the entire world by the end of the next decade.' Since then the world has consumed three times more oil than was then in the world's proven reserves."<a class="user" href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/11/20/AR2009112002619.html?nav=rss_opinion/columns" rel="nofollow">http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/artic ...</a>

It's true that this was a terrible thing to do and these scientists need to suffer the consequences of their actions, whatever they were, but this in no way proves that global warming is fake. Just because these few scientists hid or suppressed some data doesn't mean that ALL the data on this is fake or that ALL climatologists and other scientists are faking the data! Get with it - this is not some grand finding that will finally disprove global warming or climate change for those of you who dream of that...Get up off your ignorant asses and try thinking for yourselves, instead of listening to oil company-funded congressmen and media.

DISproven theory of evolution? Scam? Are you kidding me!? Where in hell did you get that idea? If you would like to provide some FACTUAL, TESTED, scientific data (not based on faith or anything else) to back your claim up then maybe people will start to take you seriously. Maybe. But until then, please keep your idiotic opinions to yourself, for the benefit of everyone else.
