I don't think you understand what the Internet is. It is 1 big mesh topology. The only thing your ISP does is runs a cable to your house to give you access to that mesh. If everyone is using wireless then there is no longer a need for an ISP to connect to that mesh. (unless the wireless technology uses some sort of satellite).Think of it this way....Do you need a ISP to have a LAN party? No...you only need the network interface and sometimes a router or hub depending on how you want to set it up.
