gamersurvival.com — For those of you who were not able to get a 360 yet, we have some good news. They have informed us that some time in January Circuit City will be having an Xbox 360 Re-Launch just like Best Buy did on Dec. 18th. They could not give us the exact date, but they did say when you see the Xbox 360 system in their ad, that's the day to go!

That's lame, they should just not give in to the fake HYPE Microsoft is creating and just put out stock as they get it like every other store has been doing. I don't think consumers should put up with something like this again. A "re-launch" is stupid a month and a half after a system has been out. In all reality, we're at the point where you should just be able to walk into the store and buy one now that Christmas is over.

I worked at CCity for 4 years through all the current gen launches... Stores don't usually see anything about these ads and stuff until a week or 2 before.. So if this is true it's from the big office..

I still can't believe how a f**king video game console can be so important. I mean I have friends that their lives depend on a console.. pathetic lol

For those looking for one that have a W-Mart nearby. They are releasing theirs on the 1st of January. That is confirmed and will most likely appear in your circular.

I purchased the my first xbox the day the initial machines were released; I was an xbox live beta tester; and I was anxiously waiting to buy an xbox360 on the day they were released. But... like many folks I had no luck being able to find a system in stock. After weeks and weeks of waiting and hoping that the supply would be replenished, as Microsoft indicated it would, last week I finally just gave up and purchased a PSP and a slew of games instead. Not the same, but it's keeping me amused with a new toy, and at this point Microsoft has lost a lot of my loyalty toward the xbox brand and platform. I'm sure I'll still get a 360, but not for several months now, and at this point not until they knock down the price. I'm just sharing this story in case any MS folks happen to be following digg or whatnot and looking for customer reactions. My reaction: Dear MS, this product release sucked. You lost me.
