I took the coupon in yesterday and it got denied by the system. The sales guy reached into the register and pulled out a copy of another, similar $40 off coupon, scanned it, and I had a $159 360 HD-DVD drive. Might be worth it to ask.

@Dhalgren -- big deal if you didn't buy your Wii from them. There was no shortage of people to buy these today. Now, if you're going to tell us that you were going to buy a $1000 TV and didn't, that would be a much better story.

Your just a typical former employee who probably got canned cause of bad work ethnic. STFU and quit ur bitchin. Rip off??? Employee discount thing?? I have now idea what the discount is, but if the discount was that good and you want to say the companies are ripping off the customer, then that means you just dont understand how a business works. Your an idiot. If the product is marked up high, its to make a profit. Every business is in it for a profit. Your getting ripped off when you go to the mall and buy that name brand T-shirt for $30 when I'm sure it cost no more that $5 to make. Your getting ripped of when your getting a speeding ticket for going 10mph over and the cop slaps it with a $50 fine. Then you gotta pay court cost on top of that. Your getting ripped when you buy that $80 pair of shoes when it probably only cost $20 to make. You bought that brand new car for 25k when it only cost 14k to make. Think out side of the box man! You get ripped no matter where you go. Even cheap old Wal-Mart ripps of their customers. Hell, when you gotta buy a prescription at full price your really getting ripped. In all reality, nothing is what it seems. Its a big game of making money and getting money. I'm sure every one of you even ripped of your employer by milking the clock or even taking a ink pen.

WOW!! He's the smartest shopper out there!!!!!! Tacomonkey--- you da man!!!All these people bitch about deals and prices, but every retailer offers some sort of price garuntee or price match policy. Hell take advantage of it. Does driving another 20 miles or so to save $10 really wort the time, gas, and wear and tear on your car? And usually the more loyal customer get the better deals too. I've been with AT&T/Cingular for 11 years and have some of the best damn rate plan that no other provider can touch. And I've gotten probably about 5 free phones out of the time span too.
