God forbid, somebody might try to install SKYPE on one of those things.Nothing receeds like success, and Jobs has really put his foot in it this time.

Let's hope he's talking about HSDPA.

I hope Steve calls them up and pulls the plug on the deal. If this is all true, I can guarantee that Cingular will grease up the customers and aim for penetration. If the service plan comes up to more than $99 per month for the full set of features, it's hard to see how it gains any traction. $600 up front, then $200+ per month? And that's not even counting any miscellaneous 'service' and 'installation' fees from Cingular. Not a winning combination.

I will wait for the Iphone to hit the Tmobile network. Even if it means waiting 3 years. As much as I would love to own the IPhone, my bad experiences with Cingular overshadow any benefit of the IPhone.

AMEN. I won't be buying an iPhone until it comes out in Europe, already unlocked and import it to the US. I can think of a few 4 letter words for Cingular. I want nothing to do with them.
