The original version of C# was pretty much a carbon copy of Java, even the syntax is the same in most cases. That being said, it does everything Java tried to do, except that they did it much cleaner and more efficiently.I want to have C#'s babies.

Wheil LUSTRE's links were informative, nothing gets around the fact that C# is more for performance efficiency on an inefficient OS (Windows) than Java. I can't take that bet.
