consumerist.com— The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Company wouldn't let a 5 year old girl with a bathroom emergency use their bathroom, so she had diarrhea in front of them.

I'll counteract her bulls**t 'viral campaign' by placing a few orders for my store with this particular supplier. Why?Because people unwillingly crapping all over themselves and each other is totally awesome. Just like when that woman crapped all over herself in front of a bunch of people in jo-ann fabrics. Magnificent.
When I was pregnant and about to puke, the Sam's Club receipt checker wouldnt let me enter the business through the exit in order to get to the bathrooms *right next to the exit doors*. He made me walk all the way around the building and through the warehouse. They gave me a similar excuse - "security measures". Its the worst.
Why was the mother out with a kid that has diarehha? If your kid has the squirts stay home. Use a McDonalds. Screw the mom and the kid. I only feel bad for the minimum wage hausfrau that works in those places that had to clean up the brat's mess.
I emailed them with a complaint. Here is their response....and I must say, it is rather lame...."June 24, 2008 Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory's Inc.'s Bella Terra Shopping Center in Huntington Beach, CA Bathroom Complaint Response: The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Store in the Bella Terra shopping center in Huntington Beach, CA is an individually owned and operated franchised store. The Company has personally called the individual involved in this incident and apologized on behalf of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Inc. In this instance, the actions of one franchised store's employees do not represent the values of the Company or our entire system of franchised stores. We are a very family friendly company and would never encourage any policy that does not take individual facts and circumstances into account. We encourage all our franchisees to adopt policies that are in accordance with local laws and regulations and that are reasonable and compassionate. However, individual policies of this nature are ultimately adopted by each franchisee. We truly regret this situation occurred. the parent should have gone somewhere that had an actual restroom, like mcdonald's. who hasn't had a kid with this kind of problem?however, as an employee of a place like this I would've reluctantly said OK. she should have let it go on their floor. then it would've been their 'chocolate mess' to clean up, and would have left an indelible lingering odor to boot.I normally like RMCF but I hate places that don't have a restroom or won't let you use it, in times like this. but ones that actually have a public restroom and make it difficult for customers to use are even worse.

No, actually I'm the owner. I would never require my employees to clean up such a mess. Luckily we're next to a Circle K with a PUBLIC restroom.

I'm usually not crazy about people suing for stupid reasons, but that company totally deserves a fat, steaming pile of lawsuit.
