wafb.com — Deputies say Dean Favron and Roderick Porter knocked several times on the apartment door. The two young children, a ten-year-old boy and eight-year-old girl, stood on the other side, terrified. "He told his sister to be quiet and seconds later, they started kicking on the door and finally kicked the door in," said Sheriff Mike Cazes.

THIS is like speaking to a bunch of retarded FIVE year olds. You did not read what I wrote, you, like the rest, are caught up in fantasy vigilantism. Go back to reading your comic books. They made no point other then that rampant speculation is FAP material for morons like yourself.

The anti gun advocates have been generating bogus and fake "facts" and "statistics" for a long time to deceive the public on the facts of guns.Anti gun = Pro crimewho do they want to protect, your family or the criminal?

You just illustrated and elaborated on MY point perfectly."Was that child properly trained in the safe handling of firearms? At the time of the accident, was the child properly supervised by an adult who was trained in the safe handling of firearms?"Maybe, maybe not. It doesn't matter to the argument against measures being brought in for tighter gun control. If everyone who injures themselves with a gun is not handling it correctly then there's no way to counter your point. However, people DO handle guns incorrectly. What do you do about those guys? Better training and management of inexperienced gun users = a move to improve gun control. You need a license to drive. People still have accidents. Most people think they themselves are good drivers. Does this mean we should ban cars? Nope. Does this mean we should stop people trying to develop safety measures for cars? Nope.Having an accident with a gun does not automatically move you from good gun user to bad gun user, any more than having an accident in your car makes you a bad driver. I'm sure that in your home you never make mistakes of any kind. You never trip, you always follow the correct safety measures at all times when you use your hand rail to get from lounge to bathroom.Your body, the thing that you have had experience with the longest and have totally mastered, remains pain and injury free. You are not prone to doing anything wrong. That is not true of most people. Trained or otherwise."You must work in a small town hospital. Every big city hospital I have seen (including those overseas) has an emergency room and critical care facility packed with crime victims."I said, ""The bad man that doesn't really send that many people to the emergency room (or the morgue) ALL THINGS CONSIDERED". No, I do not work in a small town hospital, but in one of the largest trauma centers in the pacific northwest. I am also from another country and have worked in many other countries. You must have simply been in different hospitals than I have. Packed with crime victims? When? Where? After a riot? In one of the crime capitals of the world? Even in low income, high crime rate areas the number of crime victims sitting in the ER is probably not as large as you think, and I wonder what your job is that you're allowed access to the detailed accounts of how people in the hospital waiting rooms you visit get there?ERs, in general, are NOT packed with crime victims, and when compared with the other reasons for people to be sitting in them (which was my point), the big bad man doesn't make much of an appearance as a cause.

Exactly, tony. Lucky it turned out fine this time, but it could have gone wrong. Train that child to use the firearm, keep it unloaded and in a safe, and make sure the child knows when to use it. I'd rather the mother be responsible than sorry. For those who buried me, please leave your children at home alone with a loaded and unlocked firearm. This will thin the herd.

Are those the only options? How about deciding not to do the store robbery or home burglary rather than risk it?

Are you saying that there should have been more effective locks on the front door or perhaps a security system? Hindsight is 20-20.

You can do your own homework and see the violent crime rates by city and the differ very little between places like Chicago and Houston. I wasn't the one trying to make it seem like common sense that more guns=less crime.I agree with you that the "war on drugs" is what keeps violent crime so high in any place. The age of the statistics does matter, however, and is why new studies are always needed. Things can change over time. Besides, my wife is a statistician and looked at that report you posted and said there isn't enough data to come to that conclusion.I didn't address reaper527 because I wasn't making the argument that guns should be banned. I was only pointing out that this isn't a black and white issue that people just don't get. There isn't good data that says banning or not banning is the answer to the violent crime problems. Again, the war on drugs seems like the most logical choice in addressing what would lower crime. And, lol, I live in a condo where you couldn't physically be 15ft away from me and shoot me. And just because I don't have guns doesn't mean I don't have other items that serve as weapons that don't require good aim.

10 years old...what a f**ked up thing to happen. Also, a 10 year old left at home ALONE to look after an eight year old girl? What the f**k, is that even legal?
