Yes, we shouldn't succumb to ageism. Sure lots of old people don't know anything about computers, and drive us crazy with their misplaced confidence and power over us. That doesn't mean there are no old people that are smart with computers. Just because one person has a characteristic you shouldn't assume everyone in that class has the same characteristic.
