Look at the tone of the article. The Marxists that post articles like this hate the thought that America is a Capitalist country. They hate the concept of corporations and profits. They are all about the redistribution of wealth, and that's really what this story is all about.
Good man. Big business is an important part of our country, and we need to protect it. If poor people have a problem with that s**t, they should get jobs.
Exxon Mobil's oil is in our ocean... what is so hard to understand about them being responsible for it? It makes sense for them to take responsibility for their mistake, their failure that endangered everybody's environment. Remember, a corporation is legally a person, so, personal responsibility.
The inevitable result of UNREGULATED Capitalism is slavery and Human Meat sold at market ( hey, *someone* will buy it, and since Humans have no intrinsic worth, ( as opposed to a Cow ))

What really sucks is that any money they're forced to pay is just going to translate to even higher gas prices for us.

Great. So now Exxon controls the White House, the Supreme Court and probably most of Congress.

Congress has the power to impeach and remove federal judges. I say investigate his ties and if there is a conflict of interest impeach his ass.
