ctatattler.com — The Chicago Transit Authority is spending millions on new technology to bring the system screetching into the modern age. Among the purchases - new information signs, some of which are very evidently running Windows. Now the subway displays "Your computer might be at risk." Great.

Erm... these are everywhere. My bus stops have plasmas that run windows (I saw one with a "Windows has recovered from a serious error" dialog).

"Why would I pay $3000 for something I can build for $500? Oh yeah, I wouldn't."retsoced,This is a completely ridiculous comment which is completely without merit. Explain exactly how that $500 PC compares to a $3000 Mac system. You are nuts, and your comment has nothing to do with the story.
