cbs2chicago.com— This summer more people were shot in Chicago than in Iraq. So... why isn't anyone calling for a withdrawal from Illinois?

From the article:"According to the Defense Department, 65 U.S. soldiers were killed in combat in Iraq. About the same number were killed in Afghanistan over that same period. (...)In the same time period, an estimated 247 people were shot and wounded in the city."1st note: casualties != deaths.2nd note: total Iraqi (Civilian) deaths = 920.(1)3rd note: 920/65 = 14.14th note: 125/14.1 = 85th note: 125 > 8.conclusion: if we shipped body armor to Chicago, we would save more people per month. Given what we're spending in Iraq per day, this is much more feasible solution.source: http://icasualties.org/oif/IraqiDeaths.aspx (June - Sept)
Neither do disarmed citizens, but that's good, right? I mean, allowing law abiding citizens to have guns would only mean more crime right? What about those scary "assault weapons"? Those GUNS ARE EVIL, even in the hands of law abiding citizens!/sarcasm
Oh don't worry---I'm definitely "the f**k over it," assh**e.In fact, I'm so "the f**k over it" that I'm ready for this country to get the f**k *out*. You know what will change the future? Leaving as soon as possible.
# of planes that were crashed into American Buildings on 9/11 = 2# of planes that were crashed into American Buildings since 9/11 = 0Thats enough justification for me. I get to lay my head down tonight and not worry about a Nuke landing on my city. How about you?oh, and we sure aren't seeing a whole lot of oil for a war that "supposedly" was initiated for Bush's private Oil stock. Please democrats, use your common sense.
Here in Alaska we can pretty much concealed carry or open cary our firearms for personal protection anywhere we go. and the murder and crime rates in Alaska and our cities is virtually nill compared to the restof the world. Of course we also carry to protect ourselves from wolves, bears, moose, etc.
We did the same thing to Japan in 1944 and now they have the longest run of peace of any nation and are the second largest economy in the world. Iraq is another huge win
